The new work “INTERFACE_YURAKUCHO”, consisting of about 50 photographs created by photographer Taisuke Koyama using the city of Yurakucho as a motif, will be displayed on the glass facades of a total of eight buildings and facilities along Naka-dori Street in Yurakucho. The vividly colored fragments created in Yurakucho will bring color back to the city, presenting the possibility that we can encounter the city again and again, and continue to rediscover it.

Koyama’s “INTERFACE” series reconstructs the structure and texture of the city through photography, and installs the fragmented images on the surface, or interface, where people interact with the city. This work, created through the process of video shooting with an iPhone, data conversion through 3D technology, and re-shooting with a digital camera, focuses on the surface of the city as the point of contact where people visually and physically encounter the city.
